Pulse Jet Fabric Filter Systems for Power Generation
SPE-AMEREX has an extensive resume of particulate, metals and acid gaseous control systems. The technology of choice for fabric filtration in the power generation sector is the long bag filter, typically eight (8) meter bag design with Intermediate Pressure pulse cleaning. These pulse jet fabric filters are more compact than prior designs offering a much smaller footprint and can handle flows in excess of 2,000,000 ACFM. The baghouse compartments are designed to provide for low updraft velocity to minimize ash entrainment to bags with 100% on-line availability and on-line maintenance. These baghouses may be fabricated in a modular compartment design reducing installation costs, or field-erected depending on the end user's estimated requirements.
SPE-AMEREX utilizes Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and physical modeling to maximize the efficiency of our baghouses. With CFD and physical modeling, flowthrough is improved, which can increase bag life, maximize capture efficiency, and minimize pressure drop. The modeling ensures uniform gas flow and particulate transport to each compartment, with all compartments in service or with one out of service.
The power generation grade baghouse provides constant and repeatable particulate control for meeting PM 10 and the filterable portion of PM 2.5. In combination with spray dryer absorbers, CFB scrubbers, and carbon injection, baghouses provide secondary capture of SO2 and Hg, reducing reagent consumption. The technology is flexible, so it can provide reduction of inhalable particulate required by future regulations.
