Project Management/Fabrication
Midwestern University
This project involved spray dryer absorbers and fabric filters for three coal fired boilers. The scope includes three scrubbing systems using two fluid nozzle spray dryers, high pressure fabric filters, lime preparation system, ash handling, ash storage silo, supports, access, ID fans, PLC controls, erection advisor, and start-up and optimization services. The first two units are in operation with the balance of the project scheduled for commissioning in the Summer of 2009.
Midwestern University
This project involves fabric filters, dry hydrated lime, and activated carbon systems for three coal fired boilers. The scope includes three high pressure pulse jets, pulse jet plenums, lime and carbon injection systems, PLC controls, erection advisor, and start-up and optimization services. The first fabric filter was placed into service in late 2008. The balance of the equipment including the lime and carbon system are scheduled for operation in the Summer of 2009.
Municipal Solid Waste
This project included two new reverse air fabric filters for MSW units. The scope includes equipment and services for the design, fabrication, and delivery of two reverse air fabric filters for the control of particulate from two 854 ton-per-day RDF water wall boilers. All equipment was delivered and construction commenced. First unit is scheduled for start up in the Fall of 2009.
Municipal Utility
This involved a dry sorbent injection system to control SO3 emissions. The scope includes equipment and services for the design, fabrication, and delivery of a hydrated lime/Trona injection system including storage silo, feeders, blowers, support steel, access, piping, injection grid and nozzles. Plant is a 364 MW B&W subcritical boiler firing a blend of eastern bituminous coal and petroleum coke. The equipment is being installed for a scheduled May 2009 start up.
