Recent Contract Awards
SPE-AMEREX was awarded a contract for in the Midwest for a pulse jet fabric filter and carbon injection system. The scope includes equipment and services for the design, fabrication and delivery of a powdered activated carbon (PAC) storage and injection system and pulse jet fabric filter unit with a booster I.D. fan assembly, as well as other auxiliary equipment for control of mercury emissions resulting from a 120 MW pulverized coal fired boiler located at the owner's station. The mercury reduction system is being implemented to comply with the (pre-vacated) CAMR regulation. The project was released in January 2008, engineering completed, and placed on hold until clarification of the new mercury rule is provided.
SPE-AMEREX was awarded a contract for a copper shaft furnace. The scope includes equipment and services for the design, fabrication and delivery of a modular pulse jet, cyclone collector, ductwork, spark detection system, controls, ID fans, material handling, shop insulation and stack. The equipment will be delivered by May 2009 with a scheduled startup of August 2009.
SPE-AMEREX was awarded a contract for a new incinerator to be installed at a western U.S. expansion project scheduled for startup in 2011. The scope includes equipment and services for the design, manufacture and delivery of a rotary atomizer spray dryer, pulse jet fabric filter, lime slurry preparation system, carbon injection system, ductwork PLC controls, ID fans, and instrumentation for the control of emissions from a new 900 TPD incinerator. Delivery of equipment is scheduled for September 2010.
