SPE-AMEREX Standard Design — Rex-Clone Type H

The standard design is designated a Type H - Model 680, and is an analogous series of cyclones that has been pre-engineered. Weights and dimensional information are charted and standard pricing is readily available.

This is a series of cyclones designed for general industrial applications where the level of collection efficiency while critical is not final, typically where they are used as a pre-cleaner preceding another collection device. Fractional Efficiency Curves and computer programs exist to assist home office personnel in the selection and performance estimation process.

Custom Designs — Rex-Clone Type UH (Ultra High Efficiency)

The custom design cyclones are very similar to the standard design, except that here, certain design nuances and optimization criteria are employed in the development of the cyclone for the site specific conditions.

These cyclones are generally employed under conditions of high temperature and/or pressure and where a high level of collection efficiency is required. They would also be used where the cyclone is the only collection device in the process.
