Dry Sorbent Injection Systems for SO3 and Hg
SPE-AMEREX supplies custom designed dry sorbent injection systems for mitigating SO2, SO3, and Hg emissions. These systems convey sorbent from storage to injection points on boiler flue gas ducts. Typical sorbent materials are injected lime, trona and powdered activated carbon. The injected material will react with the pollutants in the stream and efficiently reduce emissions.
SPE-AMEREX's extensive dry injection knowledge and CFD modeling ability allow us to provide our customers with uninterrupted sorbent injection. We utilize dilute phase conveying technology with redundancy throughout the system. A typical system would consist of the following equipment:
- Bulk truck unloading system
- Vented silo with multiple outlets
- Silo aeration or vibratory bin bottoms to ensure constant material flow from silo to feed system
- Maintenance knife gates
- Rotary valves
- Loss in weight feeders with accuracy of plus or minus 0.5%
- Convey line feed rotary feeders or venturi eductors with vent system
- Pressure differential blower packages with optional dehumidification systems
- Convey line with custom designed injectors
- Electrical controls including PLCs with operator interfaces (HMIs) as well as a DCS interface and motor control centers
Hydrated lime injection system to remove SO3, including truck unloading, storage silo, and distribution equipment.
